Justin Timberlake first became famous as the leader of the popular boy band, 'N Sync. The four other members were good looking and talented as well, resulting to an incredible success of the boy group. The group was officially formed in Germany during the year 1996. There, they have been considered teen idols because of their fresh faces and hip songs but their success truly became apparent when they debuted in the United States two years later. In the States, they were able to release one of the fastest-selling albums to date. No Strings Attached was released in the year 2000 and immediately became a hit not only for American fans but 'N Syncfans worldwide.

Nsync started to have big concert tours to further increase their popularity. They released their album, Celebrity, in the year 2001 which included the hit song “Girlfriend”. After the overall success of their album and their new singles, the group decided to lie low for sometime, providing an opportunity for JT to do some work on his solo album. It seemed like he got tired of his clean image as a boy band member that he decided to do a transformation to a more mature and sexier look. He accompanied this change in appearance by also changing his type of songs and singing style. This move to become a solo artist gained even more attention from the media in 2002 because of his highly-publicized breakup with longtime girlfriend, Pop Princess Britney Spears.

On August of the same year, Justin Timberlake proceeded to releasing his first single ”Like I Love You” during his performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. The song immediately gained popularity among the fans, successfully debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 list. Since his first single received such immense attention from both fans and critics, JT and his staff felt confident enough to release his solo album in November of the same year called Justified. The album did not sell as much as the previous Nsync albums but its release was still considered a success. It still managed to get the number two spot on Billboard's top 200 album chart on its first release with over 439,000 albums sold on the first week. The fans did not fail Timberlake's expectations as the album sales rose to 3.5 million in the United States and an overwhelming 7 million copies around the world. A lot of fans would attest the album's success was primarily caused by the release of two of JT's songs from the album, “Rock Your Body” and “Cry Me a River”.

Justin Timberlake did not only gain success through the sales of his group and solo albums. He also received several awards from the Grammy's and various award giving bodies recognizing his admirable skills. Today, he continues to release songs that capture the hearts of millions of women and music lovers. He is considered one of the most talented performers in the world because of his ability to sing, dance and look great on stage while doing it.
